About The Artist

Norma McMullen, born in Chicago, Ill. Won a scholarship to the Art Institute Of Chicago & studied at The American Academy Of Art. Working as a commercial artist for 22 years doing art and animation for film and TV commercials, took her from studios in Chicago to New York and California.

Hanna-Barbera Studios remains one of her favorite experiences as an artist, working on The Flintstones, The Jetsons and Yogi Bear. Only a little green elf called “The Storyteller” could pull her away from her cartoon family in California and bring her back to The Windy City.

For ten years Norma did the art on “The Storyteller” an educational TV show where the elf helped to teach children the importance of books. Becoming an art director could only be topped by becoming a freelance artist which enabled her to diversify and do what she loved, photography, oil paintings, watercolors and especially sculpture. Her styles reflect years of experience in a wide range of creative avenues successfully embarked upon by the artist.
